Trinity Health to Launch New Pediatric Sensory Center

Trinity Health in Minot, N.D. has announced plans to add a new pediatric sensory center for children at the hospital. The director of therapy services, Wade McDowell, shared that this new center will enhance care for children receiving physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services.

The center will consist of three separate spaces equipped with ambient lighting, zip lines, crash pads, and calming areas. McDowell expressed his excitement for the impact this new space will have on children, emphasizing the joy he sees in their faces when they enter the room.

The funding for this project was generously donated by Town and Country Credit Union and the Trinity Health Foundation. While there is no set opening date yet, McDowell mentioned that work on the center has already begun.

This innovative space will create a supportive environment where children can receive the care they need while engaging in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The generosity of the donors and the dedication of the Trinity Health team will ensure that this project is a success and positively impacts the lives of many children in the community.
